At Nature’s Escape, nothing sets the mood like a warm fire under the stars. While traditional campfires are allowed during the wet season (typically October through early May), our summers are often too dry for safe burning.
That’s why every site features a beautiful, built-in propane fire pit—available year-round for hassle-free fires without the smoke, mess, or wood-hauling.
As a longtime campfire fan, I’ve come to love these propane setups even more. They deliver that perfect glow while you soak in the peaceful forest surroundings, listen to the sounds of nature, and stargaze the night away.

Yes, campfires are allowed—but only during the wet season (usually fall). Summers are just too dry back here in the forest. For safety (and simplicity), every site includes a sleek propane fire pit.
Honestly? We love it even more. No smoke, no wood to haul, no setup—just the warm glow, the stars overhead, the sounds of the forest, and that peaceful feeling you came here for. It’s not just about the fire… it’s the whole vibe.
We’ll start selling firewood in 2026. Until then, it’s BYOF (Bring Your Own Firewood) for fall campfires.
We love dogs! To keep things peaceful, we allow one dog per cabin with a $50 pet fee added at checkout. For the comfort of all guests, only small to medium dogs (under 50 lbs) are allowed—unfortunately, larger dogs tend to damage the bedding.
Please keep your pup leashed around other guests and on hikes, and don’t leave them unattended in the tiny home. We also ask that you bring a blanket from home to help protect the sheets and comforter.
